please help
Apparently I'm a little slower than the rest of you, because your blogs are so cute! How do I make my blog cute? My friend once posted a website where it taught you how, but I couldn't find it on her blog or on google. Where do I go and what do I do to find a fun new design for my boring blogger template blog?

Too Fast
I just love this gummy little face, and I'm so sad because the days are going by too fast. Nate got his first tooth! At 8 months, that is early for my kids. I will miss his gummy smile so much. I smother him with kisses every time I pick him up, because who wouldn't with those cheeks?
He is starting to scoot around (sort of inchworm style) and find stuff on the carpet to eat. Ashley went around her room yesterday and picked up all the little hairs, strings, stickers, clippys, and paper and made a cute little pile on her dresser so he wouldn't eat them.
I love it when he sucks on his bottom lip.
I just bought this outfit for him, and I love it because it looks so sweet and baby, I am not done with my baby! (It is size 18 mo.)
Scooting, starting solid foods, cutting teeth, and all but done nursing, does anybody know a way to stop time? I'm not ready to let this go!

First casualty
Not feeling the Texas love now. And yes, this thermostat is located inside my house and NO, we did not set that temperature to save $$$.
Last night we all slept downstairs so nobody got heat stroke, and we will have to again tonight. We have to put the kids to bed in the guest room, then move them when we are ready for bed to the floor in the family room. Oh, and Nate has to sleep out there in his port-a-crib too, which means no sleeping in. This morning's wake-up call was 6 am (not counting Ashley going up to my room to find me in the middle of the night and freaking out and crying because it was empty), can't wait for tomorrow.

Friday Field Trip
We are stealing the traditions of our new friends in Dallas and going on Friday Field Trips this summer. Today was the Museum of the American Railroad in Fair Park. Fair Park is a huge area with 6 or 7 museums in downtown Dallas. Unfortunately, the Railroad museum was about as exciting as the looks on the girls faces. Next time we'll try the aquarium I guess!
Incriminating Photos
Milestone for Camille
Cam lost her first tooth! She was so proud, and although the tooth fairy was a couple days late, she finally found us here in Dallas.
I love love love her proud face. She will come get me and pull me by the hand to show me how she has cleaned her room, or made her bed or mine. Camille is such an passionate child, she is hot and cold: good, sweet and cooperative, or grouchy, angry, and defiant. She keeps me on my toes, struggling to keep up with her mood swings and her needs. I'm trying to teach her to get what she wants without screaming and treating people badly. Despite being challenging she is sensitive, and often will get angry before she will show she is sad or hurt.
She has been eating second and third helpings at mealtimes, I'm amazed by the amount of food she will put away sometimes. She is inching up on Emma in clothing sizes too, I sit back every now and then and wonder at how fast children grow.

Welcome to Texas!
So they aren't kidding about southern hospitality, the people down here are so nice! Friendly. We are settling in to our new house, neighborhood, school (although it's technically out now), ward, and jobs.
We love our house. It's great to have more space to spread out, and it no longer feels like we are on top of each other all the time. Actually, I had to buy a baby moniter for the first time, because I can't hear Nate cry when he's in his room.
The kids are adapting so well, I'm proud of them. We have made a few new friends already, and they jumped right into school and Emma even brought me home a list of friends with phone numbers.
Tonight we had our first of hopefully many dinner parties with Justin's siblings that live here. It was great although I must say I miss my mom because when she is in charge of the party it is so much more relaxing for me--and the food is always done on time.
I am struggling to put my house together, with two little ones around there is never enough time to jump into those big organizing projects so I end up spending all my time taking care of their needs, and fighting to keep the kitchen reasonably clean and the laundry done.
I do have lots of pictures and I'll try to get on again soon to post some.
Miss you friends and faraway family!
